Almighty God,
bless our nation
and make it true
to the ideas of freedom and justice
and brotherhood for all who make it great.
Guard us from war,
from fire and wind,
from compromise, fear, confusion.
Be close to our president and our statesmen;
give them vision and courage,
as they ponder decisions affecting peace
and the future of the world.
Make me more deeply aware of my heritage;
realizing not only my rights
but also my duties
and responsibilities as a citizen.
Make this great land
and all its people
know clearly Your will,
that they may fulfill
the destiny ordained for us
in the salvation of the nations,
and the restoring of all things in Christ.

I pray every night for this country. I pray that the citizens will wake up and realize that the occupant of the Whitehouse is continually up to no damn good. I pray that 0bama's efforts will be blunted until he is removed from office. I cannot get myself to pray for this man. His stance on abortion is too abhorent to me. He needs to be defeated.
It's not that we have a choice:
"1First of all, then, I urge you to offer to God[a] petitions, prayers, intercessions, and expressions of thanks for all people, 2for kings, and for everyone who has authority, so that we might lead a quiet and peaceful life with all godliness and dignity." 1 Timothy 2: 1-2 (NIV).
We must pray for President Obama and all those in authority.

@Anonymous: The fact that Obama has so strayed from the truth and placed his soul in mortal danger means that we must pray for him double-time. Pray for his conversion. Pray that his decisions conform to the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
