Uh, yeah. I'm surprised that Muslim "combat apologetics" is so weak. Reminds me of the equivalent efforts by the independent Baptists, "soul-winners," Catholic-Church-as-Whore-of-Babylon, "KJV-only" Fundamentalist Christians. I think they have a lot in common with each other. They are what William James would have called "sick souls".
We at the Islamic Standard hope the Muslims of Birmingham take this duel opportunity to give Da’wah to these 80,000 travelling disbelievers, whilst at the same time telling the Pope in no uncertain terms what Muslims think of his evil slanders against the last Prophet of God and his message.
Anyway, yes, Islamic Standard writers and admirers, I want to be your friend too...
Let us pray for the Holy Father and for his health and safety during his apostolic journey to post-Christian, often anti-Catholic England. May he confirm the faith of the brethren in that nation.

I TRULY DO FEAR FOR OUR BELOVED PAPA ON THIS UPCOMING TRIP.
People shouldn't believe that the Islamic Standard represents the views of mainstream Muslims; it's the equivalent of the Sun or News of the World (National Enquirer to those in the USA).
BTW, Benedict is not only visiting England but also Scotland where the media can also be anti-faith especially since the sexual abuse scandals have come to light. B16's visit can be a wonderful opportunity to break down some barriers; let us pray that this will be the case. (I am not worried about protests; they'll happen but that is one of the prices of living in a democracy.)
oh, hope this will finally wake up some not very bright Catholics from the myth "Islam is one of abrahamic religions and moslems are our brothers in faith"
first, they may believe in some supernatural being, but this does not mean necessarily that they believe in the same God as we.
plus, the morals of their "prophet" is so low that he can not be, under any biblical conditions, a prophet of true God.
this should be preached in every church.
