Happy Blogiversary, Vivificat!

Fathers, Brothers and Sisters! A year ago today Vivificat! rolled of the presses, as it were, for the first time. I conceived Vivificat! as a successor to El Nuevo Federalista, my site defending Puerto Rico's admission to the Union as the 51st. united State. I "blogged" from El Nuevo Federalista, from 1998 until 2004. Following my mobilization to support Operation Noble Eagle ("Global War on Terrorism" – stateside) in 2001, I slowly came to feel that I had outgrown my focus and decided to bring my Catholic faith to bear in all aspects of human existence, and talk about 'em for everyone to read, if they liked. I folded the old blog/site into Vivificat! after 6 years of operations, and started the current work you now see.

I want to especially thank my brother in Christ Josh LeBlanc, who has allowed me to homestead Vivificat! on the Cybercatholics.com server. May the Lord richly bless you, Josh.

It’s been my privilege to belong to an awesome community, filled with so many notables in the fields of spirituality, apologetics, the culture of life, theology, philosophy, satire, literature, and poetry, even technology, all from a Catholic perspective. I ask for your prayers, as I pray for all of you. I hope and pray to continue sharing with all of you in the years to come, and to increase, with your help, if not the quantity, definitely the quality of my blogging contributions.

To the Lord our God, Father, Son, and + Holy Spirit, be glory forever and in thanksgiving for this first successful year, we now pray:

Te Deum

We praise thee, O God: we acknowledge Thee to be the Lord.
All the earth doth worship Thee, the Father everlasting.
To Thee all Angels cry aloud: the Heavens and all the powers therein.
To Thee Cherubim and Seraphim continually do cry, Holy, Holy, Holy: Lord God of Sabaoth;
Heaven and earth are full of the Majesty of Thy Glory.
The glorious company of the Apostles praise Thee.
The godly fellowship of the Prophets praise Thee.
The noble army of Martyrs praise Thee.
The holy Church throughout all the world doth acknowledge Thee;
The Father of an infinite Majesty;
Thine honourable, true, and only Son;
Also the Holy Ghost: the Comforter.

Thou art the King of Glory, O Christ.
Thou art the everlasting Son of the Father.
When Thou tookest upon Thee to deliver man: Thou didst not abhor the Virgin's womb.
When Thou hadst overcome the sharpness of death, Thou didst open the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers.
Thou sittest at the right hand of God in the glory of the Father.
We believe that Thou shalt come to be our Judge.
We therefore pray Thee, help Thy servants whom Thou hast redeemed with Thy precious blood.
Make them to be numbered with Thy Saints in glory everlasting.

O Lord, save Thy people: and bless Thine heritage.
Govern them and lift them up for ever.
Day by day we magnify Thee; and we worship Thy Name, ever world without end.
Vouchsafe, O Lord, to keep us this day without sin.
O Lord, have mercy upon us.
O Lord, let Thy mercy lighten upon us: as our trust is in Thee.
O Lord, in Thee have I trusted: let me never be confounded.
