Gerard "Seraphim" Bugge, blogmaster of A Blog for Lovers, referred to by many as "St. Blog's Mothership," was called home by the Lord yesterday, after a long illness. He made his last blog entry last Monday, November 15.
I "met" Gerard about 10 years ago in Eastern Orthodox or Byzantine Catholic message boards and mailing lists, then I re-met him in the blogosphere. I will miss his softspoken kindness; he never said an ill-word against anyone, he was no longer "of this world." We have gained a new intercessor in heaven. May he pray for us all. My own prayers will be for his family and friends.
